Horsham is a small, friendly town where life goes at a slower pace. It is a great place for wandering around, exploring the shops, relaxing in the numerous cafes or restaurants or visiting the market stalls or special events in the ‘Carfax’, the bustling centre of town which is closed to cars.
Horsham is in the county of West Sussex where standard English is the norm. Classic English countryside is to be found around Horsham and your holiday could include some of the following activities: exploring country villages and their traditional, cosy pubs or quintessential tea shops with cream teas, walking on the South Downs or in woodland with free roaming deer, shopping, antiques, visiting country houses or castles or other National Trust properties. There are also excellent sporting facilities from first class sports centres and pools, top quality golf courses, tennis clubs and riding stables.
Horsham is easily accessible. London and Brighton are both under an hour by train and most of our visitors like to visit either or both cities during their stay.
Getting here is easy too. London Gatwick is only 15 minutes away and we include a pick up and drop off at Gatwick as part of the holiday. If arriving into one of the other London airports or perhaps Eurostar into London, the excellent road and rail links into Gatwick make this a very easy destination to reach, or we can arrange alternative transfers, say a taxi from London Heathrow, if required.
